About Wild River Audubon Society:

Wild River Audubon Society is a local chapter of Audubon Minnesota and the National Audubon Society. We are an environmental conservation organization striving to bring an awareness and appreciation of the natural beauty of our area to all who reside here. Our conservation activities are aligned with Audubon’s national and state-level campaigns and legislative efforts to preserve wetlands and water resources, protect conservation funding, advocate for renewable energy, defend protections like the Endangered Species Act, and much more.

Our chapter’s name is derived from the St. Croix River which in 1968 was one of eight rivers first protected by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Our membership includes over 200 households within Chisago, Isanti, northern Washington, and southern Pine counties.

If you reside in our area, we invite you to join us by either becoming a member of the National Audubon Society or go to to find out more!
