The eighth annual In. Art Show & Competition presented by the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community, opening at the Hallberg Center for the Arts, in Wyoming, MN on July 20, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  Once again outdoor sculpture is one of the accepted mediums.

The website that is used for entry into the In. Art Show (Judgify) is NOT tied with your login on our website

If you have previously entered into the In. Art Show, you have an account on Judgify.me.  Use that email and password to log in, or create a new account with a different email address.

This is a TWO (2) step process. 

Step 1:  Registration (about you)
Step 2:  Submission (about your artwork)

When submitting your artwork, you are required to choose a category (WACAC Member OR WACAC Non-Member)

WACAC Members Please Note: Registration for submission is NOT tied to your WACAC website login.

You need to go through the short registration or use your login from a previous exhibit before you can submit your artwork. If your email is NOT RECOGNIZED, go through the registration process.

If you submit in the category WACAC Member...

  1. Once you fill out your artwork submission, proceed to the payment page.
  2. Choose PayPal as a method (it's the only option) then process the payment. (the payment is $0 so you won't even be directed to a payment page)
  3. You're done.
  4. We will then manually confirm that you are a paid WACAC member in good standing.
  5. We will then manually mark your submission as completed and you will receive a notice of confirmation. (it may take a day or so)

If you submit in the category Non WACAC Member..

  1. Once you fill out your artwork submission, proceed to the payment page.
  2. Choose PayPal as a method (it's the only option) then process the payment, where you can pay with either a PayPal account OR your favorite credit card.
  3. You're done.
  4. You will receive a notice of confirmation.
  5. Please note... Your submission won't be complete until payment is received.

Entry Fee: $25 (Entry Fee is WAIVED for WACAC members), so simply submit your artwork.

A Juried and Judged Art Competition

The eighth annual In. Art Show presented by the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community, opening at the Hallberg Center for the Arts, in Wyoming, MN on July 20 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Once again outdoor sculpture is one of the accepted mediums.

Judges: Rurik Hover, Christopher Harrison and Dee Ann Sibley.

Awards ($5,000 total):

Three (3) Judges Choice Awards - $500 each
Four (4) Artistic Excellence Awards - $300 each
Four (4) Artistic Merit Awards - $200 each
People's Choice Awards (Opening Night Public Voting)
1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $300
3rd Place - $200
WACAC Director's Choice - $500

The Deadline for Entry is July 4, 2023 at Midnight. The judges will have an additional 48 hours to complete their scoring. Once scoring is completed, the organization will tabulate scores and the highest scoring pieces of artwork will make it into the live judging. Artists will be notified on their status by midnight July 8, 2023.

WACAC Board and Event Committee members are not eligible to win prizes.

Rules:

  1. This is a visual art competition. May include, but is not limited to paintings, drawings, photographs, mosaics, sculpture, multimedia, ceramics, or glass. Culinary, performing, musical, or literary works will not be accepted.
  2. Entries are limited to one (1) piece per artist.
  3. Maximum Height is 96", Maximum width is 73".
  4. The submitted artwork will be juried electronically by our judges for acceptance into the competition.
  5. Final judging of accepted artwork will take place the afternoon of the Award Ceremony.
  6. All artwork must be conceived and executed by the submitting artist.
  7. Artwork must be recent (within the last three years).
  8. Entry into the art competition must be entered electronically (on this website) in order to be juried for acceptance.
  9. Image for submission must be less than 2MB in size.
  10. Image submission quality is a judging criterion, so make it a good photograph.
  11. Submitted image should be of the artwork only, not the frame (if applicable).
  12. Complete all information on the entry form. Incomplete entries can be disqualified.
  13. The deadline for entry is Saturday July 4, 2023 at midnight.
  14. All artwork must be delivered to the Hallberg Center for the Arts on or before Monday, July 15, 2023 (drop off times and directions will be emailed to the artist in advance)
  15. All artwork must be appropriately framed or ready for display in an art gallery format. Pedestals are available (please note in description if needed). ONLY Wire hanging systems are acceptable for hanging artwork.
  16. If the artwork is an outdoor sculpture, the artist will be required to set it up in a designated space outside the Hallberg Center for the Arts if accepted.
  17. Accepted artwork, will be labeled with a price. Submitted artwork marked NFS or left empty in the registration form will be marked NFS (not for sale).
  18. Buyers of artwork reserved for purchase during the exhibit agree that the artwork will remain at the Hallberg Center for the Arts until the show is completed on August 19, 2023.
  19. Artists agree to donate 30% of the sale price of any artwork sold during the In. Art Show to the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community.
  20. Reproduction of Images for Publicity Permission is granted to the WACAC and Hallberg Arts Center for reproduction of artwork for catalog and/or advertising purposes. Entry into the exhibition constitutes agreement with this understanding.
  21. Liability All reasonable care will be taken with artwork. WACAC and Hallberg Arts Center staff and its volunteers, cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to artwork including frames and mountings, no matter how they are caused, and all entries submitted are subject to this condition. WACAC has an excellent record in the care and handling of works of art. We suggest that artists insure work privately if they feel the need for such protection.
  22. All Entries are final. No Refunds.
  23. Entry fees for Disqualified or Rejected Artwork will not be refunded.
  24. Judging criteria for entry will include:
    • Creativity and Innovation
    • Composition
    • Technical Skill
    • Execution
    • Image Quality
    • Judge’s overall impression (subjective)
