I always had a desire to record the beauty I see through painting. I want to capture it and hang on to its essence and spirit. Surrounded by nature is when the heart slows down and something as simple as light hitting the top of the trees or light reflecting on a smooth clear lake, can stop you in your tracks and make you take a long deep breath. I don’t want to forget that simple quiet moment when life is good. That’s what inspires me to paint.

I’ve painted since I was 17. I took classes from other artists to learn best practices and develop technical skills. I have always appreciated and studied others work. The best part of being a painter is that it’s a never-ending learning process and you can never reach perfection. You can only enjoy the journey.
