Growing up , I didn’t always know I wanted to be directing movies. I just knew I loved watching films. Films make me think about my own life, films tell me it’s okay to feel, films bring ideas together but also add a taste of intrigue. Cinema has held my hand and helped me with so many different parts of my life while also bringing enjoyment to it. Once I realized THAT,  I knew I needed to work in films. I understand the importance of feeling understood but I also believe it’s equally important to make an interesting spectacle to go along with it. That’s why working with such a diverse group is one of my favorite parts of filmmaking, you’re able to get so many new ideas and perspectives on how to create the most with what you have. I’ve been using the last decade of my life to learn and grow as a filmmaker so I can better encapsulate the all too real moods and thoughts I believe everyone feels from time to time. And just to make the bitter go down a little sweeter, I like to compliment these themes and thoughts with a dosel of semi surrealism, giving everyone permission to laugh and cry all in the same bucket of popcorn.
