Art is in my blood. A gift from my mother. May she rest in Love. Her gift allowed me to express myself in ways that could only be spilled through paint and pencil and whatever other visual means of expression I could get my hands on. This is how I've expressed myself my whole life. It has been a form of therapy for me to sort some of my deepest emotions and transfer that energy out my body in the form of colorful, imaginative, emotional images that I could not put into words. In that aspect my art is very personal and vulnerable. My hopes are that onlookers will relate with that vulnerability and connect with my pieces and find comfort in them when they too could not find the words to express those feelings. Over the past decade I have been able to share my art through live paintings which I create from start to finish in around 45 minutes of performance time as part of the band Troll Foot Frass. It has been such an amazing experience painting for an audience as they watch my creations come to life. I have also been doing commissioned pet portraits for people over the past few years. The experience of painting pet memorials for people and see how their eyes well up with tears of love when they see their pets eternalized in art has truly been a healing experience for me from the passing of my own pets. I truly believe art heals the soul.
