Sandra Castaneda Medina

Sandra is a self-taught mixed media artist, born and raised in Bogotá - Colombia, now based in Minneapolis, USA. She is a founding member of Priƒmata Collective.
Her artworks have been nourished by her years of study and teaching in Philosophy, Literature and Latin American History. Thus, her works constantly inquire about insania, the rhythms of life and death, order and chaos, and the eternal recurrence of the same.
Sandra´s works has been featured in group and solo exhibitions at the Carnegie Art Center Mankato (2016-2017). One of her photographs was chosen as the cover of the dossier "Bodies and aesthetics of madness", Corpo-ografías Magazine of the Universidad Distrital, Colombia (Vol. 5, No. 5: Jan.-Dec. 2018). Sandra has an upcoming exhibition at St. Catherine University, MN.
