Andy Sjodin

Andy Sjodin (b.1981) received a B.A. in Philosophy from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN in 2004.  After spending his twenties serving in AmeriCorps in Washington state, teaching English in Thailand, and then living in Homer, Alaska, Sjodin decided to focus on a career as an artist.  He studied the drawing and painting methods of the old masters at The Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts in Minneapolis, MN for four years, completing his formal training in 2014.  Sjodin has exhibited work in New York, L.A., Boston, and in a variety of venues in Minnesota.  He has won a hand-full of awards and has had numerous pieces selected into the Art Renewal Center’s International Salon.  His work is in private collections throughout the country.  Sjodin currently lives and paints out of his home on a small farm in Isanti, MN and is a full-time program instructor at The Atelier in Minneapolis.
