Reports to: Events Committee

Job Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week

Compensation: $15/hour, free NARM membership

OPPORTUNITY:  Hallberg Center for the Arts (HC4A), home to the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (WACAC), is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to assist in building financial, programmatic and community-based support for the organization.


  • Meeting with Events Committee weekly to discuss activities and detail actions that need to be taken to ensure success of these events.
  • Staff open hours of the Art Center (Currently 4-8PM, Thursday & Friday; Noon-4PM, Saturday.), greeting guests and answering any questions that may arise.
  • Coordinate volunteers and hours, ensuring at least 2 additional volunteers for open hours. Directing volunteers by delegating responsibilities, keeping them busy and motivated.
  • Coordinate with member & non-member artists in collaborative and solo/duo shows, establishing drop-off times and pick-up times. Instruct artist in self-promoting their shows. Create labels of artists work for shows.
  • Assist in setting up monthly art shows.
  • Promote HC4A and WACAC through social media and local press releases.
  • Assist in keeping HC4A clean and presentable to the public.
  • Assist with community outreach programs that WACAC is involved with, including, but not limited to Kids Can be Artists, Too; Songwriters in the Round; National Night Out; Pride in the Park; etc.
  • Research and assist in applying for new grant opportunities for HC4A and WACAC.
  • Assisting in reaching out to past and potential show sponsors.
  • Locate artist instructors to teach classes at HC4A, assisting them in promoting their classes.  Set up/clean up classrooms for these art classes, when applicable.
  • Document monthly art shows using 3D camera equipment and software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
