I started painting in September 2024 after taking a community ed class with Pam Anderson, who’s been a fantastic teacher and a huge inspiration ever since.

Most of my work so far has been in acrylics and water-based oils, but I’m always looking for new things to try (and more art supplies to collect!). My inspiration often comes from the animals closest to me—my horses and cats—as well as the rugged, peaceful landscapes of Northern Ontario where I grew up. I also enjoy photography, which often sparks ideas for my paintings or becomes an art form all its own. I love challenging myself with new ideas and techniques, and painting has quickly become my favorite way to capture the wonder and beauty I find in the world around me.
