Miriam Queensen works in mixed media including acrylic paint, acrylic and India ink and a variety of collage materials such as painted papers and found papers. She is inspired by nature, especially trees, and experiments with layers of abstract forms and shapes using an intuitive approach.

As a longtime student of global art history, Queensen is continually motivated to learn about and transform different techniques and approaches, using a variety of surfaces and repurposing materials whenever possible.
