Minnesota artist, Barbara VanDell Robinson, was born with natural artistic talent, which has developed and matured over many years.  Barbara graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in studio arts.  Intending to be an Art Therapist, she soon realized that her love for making art was stronger than her desire to evaluate it.  This natural talent was enhanced by numerous workshops, seminars and self-study.  She moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1998 to contue the progression of her art career.

Although primarily an oil painter, She also works in acrylics, pen and ink and sometimes watercolor.  Her work is mostly nature, especially trees and flowers and a lot of birch and aspen trees.  For several years Barbara traveled to art shows throughout the contry showing her work while also exhibiting at several galleries in the area.  She then had her own successful gallery space at the Art Colony for four years in Eureka Springs and in 2013, along with seven prominent local artists, opened Eureka Fine Art Gallery.  In 2018, Barbara moved to Mel Shipley's signature gallery at 85 Spring Street in Eureka Springs.  The gallery closed permanently due to the Covid 19 virgus.  In November, 2020 she moved to Lindstrom, MN to be closer to her family.  Barbara is represented by Gladje Gallery in Lindstrom www.gladjegallery.com and One 10 Gallery in Frederic, WI www.one10gallery.com

Among her most notable achievements were a solo exhibit at the Vada Sheid gallery at Arkansas State University, Mountain Home, Arkansas, a solo exhibit at the Arts Center of the Ozarks, Springdale, Arkansas and a juried group exhibit at Crystal Bridges American Art Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas where she was featured.  Her originals are in private collections from coast to coast.
