Photography has been a creative outlet since I first held a camera as a child. Sunlight, moonlight, and twilight inspire my nature photography. A single bird in pose, a flock of birds in movement, lake ripples and light reflections are some of my current favorite subjects. 

Travel photography adds the elements of time, place, imagination, and memory.  Whereas nature photography, for me, often finds a return to a known place, photographing the known in evolving light; life; dormancy; and growth, the travel photo suspends a moment in time. It offers the viewer a connection with place, viewing the scene through the lens of their own lived memories, and through the lens of imagination--a conglomerate of readings, cultural experiences and stories.  The travel photo is a snippet in time, places change and places remain.
