I am a collage and mixed media dimensional artist.  In September 2025, The Distressed Loft described my work as follows:   "Lori Norman brings a quirky and imaginative twist to her creations.  Her work blends humor, folk-art charm, and gothic whimsy, giving each piece a personality of its own.  From playful characters to textured journals and unique art forms, her style is as bold as it is original."

I am a collector of random things which I like to incorporate into my art.  When I travel, I pick up rocks/sticks or other natural materials.  I also frequent second hand stores, antique stores, garage sales.   Friends and family gift me with odd things just to see what I might do with them.    My business name, Art d' Mungo reflects this.   Per the Dictionary of Weird Words, mungo is one who finds treasure in trash.   

These unusual items, and unusual combinations of pictures, can serve to provide line, texture, and shape, but they are often a part of the story of the piece.  There is nothing more rewarding that seeing the reaction of surprise or a nostalgic connection in people who view my work.
