Every month, the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community brings in 3 songwriters to perform at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in an "In The Round" format, performing their original pieces of music.

Admission is Free.

September 28th at 7pm, the Songwriters in the Round Series continues

with its 39th installment at the Main Gallery Stage featuring the original music of Doyle Turner, Cole Allen, and Bob Frey.

Doyle Turner

Doyle Turner is a Northern Minnesota singer/songwriter who mixes elements of folk, rock, and Americana into songs that seek connection.  Growing up on the White Earth Nation, he is a proud Anishinaabe person.  Firmly rooted in Cash and Kristofferson, Doyle’s songs feature lyrics that find you where you are with a warm voice that guides you back home.  Doyle’s new album “Sweet, Difficult Sounds” was released September 17th, 2022. 

Cole Allen

Cole Allen is one of the most exciting singer, guitarist & songwriter’s of contemporary rock and blues/rock music. The young touring and recording veteran has captivated audiences, both Nationally and Internationally, with his masterful guitar-playing and vocal prowess. As lead guitarist for Blind Pig Records’ artist, Sena Ehrhardt, and with his own power trio, Cole Allen Band, Allen has toured with/supported some of the biggest names in rock and blues music including ZZ Top and B.B. King

Bob Frey 

Bob Frey is a singer-songwriter who has lived and performed in the Twin Cities since 1993. Frey honed his craft in the bars and coffeehouses of his hometown Cleveland, Ohio, as well as in Oxford, Ohio and Chicago, IL. A longtime devotee to the art of writing and performing songs, Frey's songs have a strong melodic base which, coupled with his unique and memorable voice, draws and engages his audience and proves to be the perfect vehicle for his wry, intelligent lyrics.
