Fundraising 101 for Non-Profits

Fundraising 101 for Non-Profits

Presented by Liz Sheahan

Online Zoom Workshop on Fundraising for Non-Profit Organizations

This is your opportunity to discover how you can help your organization realize it's potential.

Liz Sheahan presented this workshop, which is really an introduction to fundraising, via Zoom and organized by the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community to help the organization improve its sources of revenue.  We have opened this workshop up to not just our members but other area non-profits that are interested in improving fundraising within their organization.

Here's the recording of the Zoom Workshop on March 22, 2022!

A Little About Liz Sheahan...

Liz Sheahan"I will provide a base overview of fund development, including some takeaways that attendees can put into action, and also want to delve deeper into topics that are important to your attendees.

I’ve worked in fund development for about 25 years, with public education, hospice care, hunger relief and now empowering girls to be leaders of our future. I have my BS in Social Work from Augsburg University and MA in Philanthropy & Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. I have experience in grant writing, corporate sponsorship, special events, government funding, individual fundraising (including planned giving), and board relations. I am currently Chief Advancement Officer with Girl Scouts San Diego, overseeing the philanthropy and marketing/communications teams for our council serving 15,000 girls and 8,000 adult members in southern California. In addition, I teach 2 courses with the University of California San Diego Extension certificate program in Fundraising & Development."
