The Songwriters in the round series continues at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in Wyoming, Mn on 11-15-18 at 7pm featuring Annie Fitzgerald, Courtney Yasmineh, Vicky Emerson

Annie Fitzgerald’s music has been described as “a blend of Tori Amos’ intellectual appeal, Sarah McLachlan’s mystical charm and Edie Brickell’s baroque spirit”.

Courtney Yasmineh- Honesty is a quality getting rarer and rarer in rock and roll, but you can see, hear and believe it in Courtney Yasmineh. The Chicago/NYC/Minneapolis singer, guitarist, songwriter draws from a poisoned well that runs deep; harsh reflection, brutal frankness, bittersweet inspiration, brief flights of sexual fantasy and blistering romance, but most of all, transcendent saving graces.

Vicky Emerson- Always influenced by the work of Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris, Vicky turned her ear to JD McPherson and Jason Isbell that inspired her most recent album, Wake Me When the Wind Dies Down. Matt Patrick produced her last two albums (Long Ride and Dust & Echoes) and readily signed on to produce a third. Enlisting the talents of Steve Goold (Sara Bareilles, Ben Rector), Ian Allison (Jeremy Messersmith), Jake Armerding (Bela Fleck, Nickel Creek), Aaron Fabbrini (Sarah Groves), Steve Bosmans (John Mark Nelson), the bedtracks were tracked in a live setting in three days and with Patrick’s vision, an incredible Americana album was born.
