Becky KapellBecky Kapell

Late-blooming Minnesota singer-songwriter Becky Kapell writes gritty, no-nonsense songs that come from the crossroads of old-time rock and roll and country. Always walking the line between mischief and heartache, her music doesn’t shy away from life’s truths and her own shortcomings, and with over 50 years of life’s ups and downs, she has plenty of material to draw from. Working with her all-star band The Fat 6, Kapell has quickly become a fixture in the Twin Cities music scene, sharing the stage with some of Americana’s biggest acts like Southern Culture on the Skids, Rosie Flores, Wayne Hancock and The Cactus Blossoms. Becky released her third album In It to Win It in 2022 which was recorded during the pandemic with partner and bandmate Paul Bergen. The album made several year-end favorite lists and mixes the raw grooves of Lucinda Williams, the haunting sounds of Emmylou and the classic rock and roll feel of Nick Lowe. https://beckykapell.com

Molly BrandtMolly Brandt

Named 2023 Americana Artist of the Year at the Midwest Country Music Awards, Molly Brandt is making waves in the independent music scene. Drawing inspiration from songwriting legends, her songs weave tales of heartache, resilience and triumph, delving into blue-collar struggles, dive bar revelries, long car rides, and cold-blooded revenge. With a musical background that includes stints as a classical pianist and jazz vocalist, Brandt found her songwriting voice when she turned to roots music, using a tapestry of Americana styles to tell her vivid, gritty stories. She released her first singles in 2022 and was soon performing at venues and festivals across the Midwest. Brandt captivates audiences with her fiery delivery, memorable attire and evocative lyrics as she showcases powerful vocals, compelling storytelling, and unforgettable performances. Her 2023 debut album, Surrender to the Night, blends honky-tonk, countrypolitan and alt-rock influences. She returned to the studio in early 2024, exploring an even broader range of roots music. The result is her second album, “American Saga”, with release date in September 2024. As we hear what this next iteration of Molly Brandt sounds like, one thing we can count on is that it’s going to be unforgettable. “Take a ride with me,” she sings in one song that could be an advertisement for her own music. “Light me up, you know you can’t resist / ’Cause I’m like propane and cigarettes.”  https://www.mollybrandt.com

Clare DoyleClare Doyle

With her infectious debut single Devices, released in May 2023, emerging singer and songwriter Clare Doyle showcases a modern blend of soulful country and rootsy rock alongside the bold lyricism that garnered immediate attention when she began performing in the spring of 2022. Originally from Saint Paul, MN, Doyle had settled in New Orleans, LA until the global pandemic and consequent loss of work forced a move back to her hometown, where she began to rediscover the musical identity she’d neglected and for years. Armed with a decade of heartache, adventure, addiction, and life on the road, she began to alchemize raw emotions into a collection of songs that run the gamut from clever and rollicking, to gritty and gut-wrenching. She draws on a range of influences to write candidly about loving, losing, hurting, and making a hot mess of things.
