The Songwriters in the Round Series is proudly sponsored by the Hallberg Family Foundation

Every month, the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community brings in 3 songwriters to perform at the Hallberg Center for the Arts in an "In The Round" format, performing their original pieces of music.

This month's show brings Elizabeth Ghandour, Tony Baker, and Bob Frey to the Freemore Stage.

Admission is Free.

Elizabeth Ghandour (ELOUR)

Emotions erupt in ELOUR's punk-edged Femme Rock, resulting in catharsis and empowerment. ELOUR features the alluring songs, vocals, and stage presence of classically trained Elizabeth Ghandour. ELOUR (pronounced "allure") is what Elizabeth Ghandour categorizes as Femme Rock. Elizabeth’s direct lyrics, diverse background and classically trained voice, combined with Ned Barclay's soaring guitar, Joe Scarpellino's tasty bass and Ryan Vee's creative drumming, yields a sound that's raucous and rebellious, and yet very stylish.  http://www.elourmusic.com

Tony Baker

Tony Baker has been playing Rockabilly music in Minnesota since 2007. Performing original music and standards of the genre with his combo, The Star Chiefs , Tony averages sixty shows per year , at venues big and small. An accomplished Rockabilly guitarist as well, Tony takes pride in bringing the authenticity of the classics to his new music , and introducing new audiences to this classic American art form. Making the Final 16 in The Rockabilly Alliance Worldwide Songwriters Contest was a great thrill in 2023, being evaluated by Lorrie Morgan, Slim Jim Phantom, and James Burton was a dream come true! Bob Frey

Americana / Folk musician Bob Frey hails from Cleveland, OH but is based in Minneapolis. Since 1993, Bob has shared his stories and songs with a loyal band of supporters at small clubs throughout the Twin Cities and beyond. Whether playing solo or with his band- Bob Frey & the Adaptors- Bob delivers wry, intelligent lyrics in well-crafted, melodic songs with a voice uniquely his own. Bob has released five solo records- "Tape From Minnesota" (2004), "Like A Train" (2007), "Nothing Hid" (2013), "LongShot Deal" (2017) and "Ghost" (2022), the latter receiving an 8.5/10 rating from the well-regarded Maximum Volume Music. In his review of “Ghost” for Folking.com, Bill Golembeski wrote, "Midwest singer-songwriter Bob Frey’s new Ghost album is a sincerely whittled selection of whiskey-soaked and quite wonderful songs that bleed with Gothic folk campfire prayers." In reviewing Bob’s 2017 “Nothing Hid” album, Harry Kaplan of Twangri-La wrote, “Smart songwriting is what Bob Frey is all about. These are not songs as much as they are poems set to music.
