30 Countries in 30 Years

My name is Autumn.  I am a freelance travel writer and photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Travel, writing, and photography have been immensely important throughout my life and have been woven into the person I am today.  

I received my bachelor’s in English Literature, with an emphasis in Creative Writing.  During my last semester I was given the opportunity to live in England while studying for my Creative Writing specialization.  During this time, I learned how to travel abroad by myself and I spent my weekends traveling to 13 different countries all throughout Europe.  I brought only a backpack, my Nikon, and explored this beautiful world with wide eyes.

After completing my bachelor’s, I received an opportunity to be a flight attendant.  I was able to combine my busy life of flying and blogging on the side, all while having my beloved camera attached to my hip throughout all my adventures.  I traveled to 30 countries and 48 states during this time.  I enjoyed flying but also wanted to explore other travel opportunities, which brought me to becoming a travel agent as well as travel design manager. 

My experiences have brought me to many different places in life, but my one true love has always been travel photography.
