Course Description
In this class, we'll discuss the elements of a strong work of fiction, pulling from your own literary favorites. We'll cover the basics of laying out a storyline, creating literary elements, adding complexity to your plot, and more! In addition, we'll explore some of the best tools available to help you stay organized and goal-oriented throughout the writing process.
Course Objectives
- Discuss what makes a strong and engaging story
- Learn fiction writing basics like determining genre and intended audience, laying out a storyboard, and creating an engaging and complex plot
- Explore some of the best writing tools available
- Discover different writing methods, and the best way to set goals and track your progress
- Get motivated to start writing your first, or next great story!
