Whimsical

Joy Tate

A self taught painter working in both Acrylic & Oil. Joy started painting at the age of 20 because she was looking for a positive means of self expression. After dabbling with many different styles, Joy found painting enjoyment comes from recreating scenes with a touch of whimsy. Alot of her current work is inspired by her beautiful garden. A garden that was a magical world created with a dash of cottage and tons of whimsical style.  The paintings that are inspired from this world are meant to either simply bring a smile to veiwers face or evoke a childhood fantasy of a secret garden world. Painting has been a very important part of her life and a very positive outlet.
