Quilting Blocks in Stages

We are a happy, energetic, groups of mission quilters that live in the greater Wyoming community. We are always looking for new avenues to share our art, challenge our abilities, and motivate each other in our craft. The opportunity to display our quilts at the Hallberg Center for the Arts would provide a new pathway to educate others about our mission and display our artwork. If selected we would enjoy: 1. Displaying numerous quilted items that will all be donated to various causes. These items will range in size from pot holders to king-size bed quilts. These items, could be displayed as individual pieces and/or in groups based upon numerous themes. 2. Hosting a public reception to introduce the community to our group, our mission and our art with the hope of inspiring others to develop and use their creative skills. 3. Pursue using the facility to host quilting functions such as beginner quilting classes and/or
“day sews” for established quilters.

Ana Musachio in the Cube Gallery and Outside the Gallery

I begin my paintings with fast, intuitive gestures and then layer up until a foreground emerges that can visually support the energetic movement of the background. The small, detailed elements in the front of the painting and the impressionistic strokes of the back serve as a visual spectrum of my moods while creating this work. When I look at my paintings, the varied energy in my work serves as a reminder of my own dynamic vitality, and capacity to assume a varied vantage points. Ultimately, my objective in painting is to create something beautiful that can bring joy to the viewer.
